The story of this haunting states that a student at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College was heading home to Florida to visit her family for the weekend. As she was traveling, she unexpectedly lost control of her car and died in a car wreck under this overpass. Witnesses heading south toward Valdosta say they can hear the sounds of her squealing tires, in varying degrees of loudness and pitch, from time to time. The city of Tifton is located in south-central Georgia at the junction of I75 and U.S. Highway 82. The Omega Road Overpass is on 1-75 about five miles south of Tifton.
